Barbara Hepworth was a particular inspiration for me throughout my final year at Uni, with her abstract sculptural forms inspiring many of the textures within and concepts behind my graduate knitwear collection. Hepworth felt a strong connection to the landscape and her sculptures often suggested the relationship between one living thing and another, or a ‘gesture in the landscape’ as she herself described. In an interview clip, she describes her own experiences in connection to the landscape: “
Foxology is nearly 3 years old - the founding message just a whisper, but it is being heard - the beginning of a huge fundamental shift in the way we create, wear and reuse clothing.
Good morning from D&SWhat another beautiful if breezy day out there today! What day is it again? Oh - Friday! It's 7 weeks since we were both furloughed from our day jobs and, like many of our lovely friends and customers, it's getting a bit wearing isn't it? G&T is our new sparkling water, and most items in the house have been cleaned and repainted or if not due to be very soon! One job that we didn't mind so much was the tidying of the fabric cupboard in our workshop. It sparked the conversation

As we are sure you already know, we rave on about manufacturing our ED-1 jeans in the UK. We proudly work with the best in the business here in Britain as only the best will do for the best jeans in the UK. The place where we get the construction side of the manufacturing done is Blackhorse Lane Ateliers (apart from the riveting which Tom does at home while sitting in his underwear.)

We wanted to give you all a glimpse into Blackhorse Lane Ateliers so we headed up to North London and took some candid shots of the factory while they were working. It is an amazing experience getting to see the workers in action, each one a master at their job. The Atelier is also a central part of the community, hosting a shop where you can buy local produce and also selling freshly baked sour dough bread which seemed to be very popular while we were there!

Soon we will have more to show you to give you more insight into Blackhorse Lane Ateliers but here for now are some images we took.
