SS21 BEHIND THE SCENES

SS21 BEHIND THE SCENES

We have just got back from glorious Cornwall where we have been shooting our SS21 lookbook. We felt it was important to shoot this season in a beautiful location and to be at one with nature. Much of this collection is inspired by this wonderful landscape, it felt so good to shoot it and have fun at the same time. Shot over two days we started at Gunwalloe ones of my favourite beaches where much of Poldark is filmed and my friends daughter does lifeguard training!   It wouldn't be right to be in Cornwall and not eat a cornish pasty for lunch so we stopped off at the wonderful Gear Farm and headed to the lovely cove at Saint Anthony to savour with a heavenly view.     We then moved to loe bar beach, and had to hitch a ride back up the hill as it was a long way with a LOT of kit!   Day two being typically British the sun was hiding in the morning so we headed into the sand dunes at Gwithian, which was the most fun. Forward rolls down sand dunes ..... And chasing Mudge and Basil, our top dog models through the long grass! We finished the day at Praa sands and ended with a long swim. Absolute bliss.   Cannot wait to share all the images and the new collection with you early next year.   Thank you to Vicky for being our chauffeur and the hostess with mostess. And to the rest of the super team including Mudge and Basil the best dog models.

Introducing a new addition to the studio. Our hand-flat Dubied knitting machine

This last week has been an exciting week in the studio, with the arrival of a new 7gg industrial hand-flat Dubied knitting machine. For those of you not familiar with this terminology, the term hand-flat is used to describe a type of knitting machine that is hand operated and contains a flat bed of needles (instead of a circular one, which would produce products like socks). The brand, Dubied, is one of a few similar makes of knitting machines (for instance Stoll or Santagostina) that were predo
