Tanner Bates

Tanner Bates is a small team of artisan leatherworkers based in a workshop in Dartington, South Devon, handmaking belts, bags, wallets and accessories in small batches, with some pieces made to order. The business was founded by John Hagger, who trained as a saddler and bridle maker in Walsall, and is now run by Rick and Matt. They work almost exclusively with full grain vegetable- or bark-tanned leather from small tanneries and offer repairs.
