Their history began with Walter and Amy Barry, who founded the first Barry tannery in Wiltshire, England. Their grandson, Owen Barry, established the manufacturing business in 1948. Today, the company is led by Cindi and Chas, the great-granddaughters of Walter and Amy, who continue the family tradition through four generations. For 75 years, Owen Barry has been manufacturing in Somerset, renowned for their commitment to quality and customer service, with products backed by a lifetime guarantee. Their team of 18 skilled craftspeople, many of whom have been with them for decades, ensures the preservation of traditional techniques and the use of high-quality materials.
