Our philosophy comprises three key elements: We believe the golden age of clothing design and fashion occurred between the 1920s and the early 1960s. Our journey started in the early 1980s with Connolly Steerhide, the same upholstery leather used by prestigious car manufacturers like Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, and Bentley. We then led the industry in adopting Horsehide jackets made from the renowned Chromexcel Horsehide from Horween. Throughout the years, we have continued to source and work with a diverse range of the world's finest leathers. Our collection now includes stunning Italian Vegetable Tanned Vicenza Horsehides and Badalassi Steerhides. At Aero, each jacket is meticulously handcrafted from start to finish in our Scottish factory, without any shortcuts. We hold firm to traditional working methods, refusing to compromise on quality or take shortcuts. Our team of highly skilled and experienced artisans, including longstanding members and graduates from the esteemed Heriot Watt Textile University, diligently continue the tradition of crafting our jackets with unwavering passion and impeccable quality. Every Aero jacket undergoes an intensive process. Our expert leather technicians hand-select and inspect each hide, ensuring it meets our rigorous standards. Panels are then individually hand-cut, with careful attention given to matching color, grain, weight, and characteristics. Each jacket is meticulously assembled by a single skilled craftsperson on a traditional walking foot machine, who takes immense pride in their work. Finally, before leaving our hands, every jacket undergoes a meticulous 28-point inspection to ensure it meets the stringent quality standards synonymous with the Aero Label.
