At Reworked 348, we are proud to support local manufacturing. Our goal is to collaborate with UK makers to create our collections; keeping small independent factories, jobs and skills alive on these shores.

Not Cutting Corners Cutting garments one by one. Cut in studio by our own hand. Taking our time as we go. Time & care. This is definitely not mass production. No one’s getting rich quick. This is about cutting and making garments here in our home town of Derby. A labour of love. We have around 12 meters of this beautiful light weight waxed cotton cloth. A small roll of left over premium fabric, a lucky find. Searching out those beautiful materials. The ones that already exist. We’ll make 9 or 10 lightweight summer jackets, we may even add a cord collar. Avoiding the use of new virgin materials wherever possible. Creating more, using less. And never cutting corners, unless it’s an arm hole.

Who Cares Where it's Made? Does anyone really care where their clothes are made, where they’ve come from? Is it even a consideration when deciding the next addition to our wardrobe? Does anyone ever check the label to see where they’re made? Can we even afford to care??? Do we ever think about the kind of journey our clothes have taken to land on our backs? What form of transportation? What kind of impact does that journey have on us all? There was probably a time, not so long ago, when most of our clothes were made close to home. Maybe we had friends or family members who were involved in the industry of making clothes. Times change. Things move on. But WE care. We care about where our clothes are made. Making our clothing collection so close to home, we get to visit and know our makers. For sure it’s not the easiest route. We know their struggles and they know ours, but together we find the way. We are proud to produce our clothing collections in the UK. Supporting local manufacturing and keeping the skills alive. A clothing company doing things differently. Doing things our way.
